I do all booking via email! You can send an email to propplewelltattoos@gmail.com, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I do my best to take on most requests, but there are some tattoos that I might feel are not suited to my style and would be better done by another artist. If this is the case, I am happy to give recommendations for another artist!
In your initial email inquiry please include the following information (or copy and paste it into your email and you can send it as a form!):
Tattoo subject matter:
Tattoo placement:
Tattoo size (in inches if possible, otherwise compare to the closest sized fruit):
Colour/Black and Grey/Watercolour/Blackwork/Realism? (If you have any reference images, please include them!)
Is this tattoo a cover up?
Are there other tattoos we need to work around/with nearby the area? Is this tattoo covering any scarring?

Pretty much always, so please send an email! I am typically able to get small or tiny tattoos in within a week or two, and larger projects started in about a month.

I am $180/hour plus 5% GST.
I try to be very transparent about cost! I use a timer and start charging when we begin tattooing. I stop the timer for breaks. When you pay at the end, I will tell you how long the tattoo took and I round down to the nearest ten minutes. There are no hidden charges.
My minimum rate is $150 (+GST) for tattoos that take under an hour but are larger than 2in x 2in.
For tattoos smaller than 2in x 2in, I charge $125 (+GST).

I usually take a $50 deposit for a single session tattoo or $100 for a multi-session tattoo. I tend to not ask for deposits once a client has returned a few times.
The deposit is a non refundable up front payment that goes toward the cost of your tattoo. It ensures that I don’t spend time drawing for your tattoo or holding a bookable date for you without compensation if you change your mind or cancel.
The deposit amount is taken off of the total cost (before GST) of your tattoo on the final session.
If for some reason you need to reschedule your appointment, I require 24 hours notice to ensure that your deposit is not forfeited.
I accept deposits by e-transfer only to propplewelltattoos@gmail.com.
*Please do not send extra. Send only the amount you were asked to send.

I prefer e-transfer or cash but also accept credit and debit.

You have to be 18+!

I tattoo out of a private studio in NW Calgary located near North Hill Mall. I am within a 5 minute walking distance of Lions Park LRT station. The exact address will be provided upon booking an appointment.

Yes! I go through the same inspection process by AHS as a regular shop. I have a business license through the City of Calgary, pass regular AHS inspections, and am insured.
-
No, but if you message me on a weekend and I happen to not be booked, I will probably take it!

I usually send you a drawing sometime in the week before the appointment. This drawing is so that you can see what the tattoo will look like, but is not an exact representation. Think of it more like a sketch design. Variations in skin, texture, ink colour against your particular skin tone, and healing will all affect the final tattoo - an iPad drawing will never be an exact copy of your final tattoo. It will be close enough that you have a pretty good idea of what it will look like.
I can make whatever changes you’d like to the design as long as you can explain them to me! If the changes you’d like are too substantial for me to do before our booked appointment date, we will need to reschedule you for a later date.
*While I am happy to make changes and work with you on your design, there does come a point sometimes after multiple changes where it is obvious that maybe our visions don’t match. If this happens I will let you know and give you recommendations for a different artist who might be able to help you reach your vision better. In this case the deposit would not be refunded in order to cover the drawing time. That said, this almost never happens because I am very good at figuring out what clients are looking for!
